Packed red cells

Packed red blood cells are what remains of whole blood after the plasma and platelets have been removed. A 450-millilitre unit of whole blood is reduced to a 220-millilitre volume.

Random donor platelet (RDP)

RDP-Random donor platelets or RDP is another method of platelet transfusion. In this method, platelets are prepared from donated blood from any qualified donors.

Cryoprecipitate

Cryoprecipitate is prepared from plasma and contains fibrinogen, factor VIII, von Willebrand factor, factor XIII. It is stored frozen and must be transfused within 6 hours of thawing or 4 hours of pooling.

Single donor Platelets (SDP)

ingle donor platelet is a procedure of platelet transfusion. In this method, platelets are collected by a platelet aphaeresis machine from a single donor.
